Mr. Harry Pierce passed away Friday, October 19, 2007 in the Moosehaven Life Care.
He was born to Floyd & Bertha Pierce on January 12, 1913 in Columbus, Ohio and lived to the age of 94.
He married Virginia Pierce in 1940 and they had 5 sons; Paul, John, Albert, Nicholas and Patrick and one daughter, Sue Pierce.
Harry was employed with Consolidated Freight as a Dispatcher. He retired in 1970 after 30 years of service.
Harry was an avid traveler and golfer during his 30 year service at Consolidated Freight where he worked as a Dispatcher and in his retirement.
His service to the Loyal Order of Moose has been continuous since 1972, when he joined Key Largo, FL Lodge. During his leisure years, he transferred his membership to Sebring, FL Lodge where he served as Secretary.
His travels also took him to Las Vegas, NV Lodge, Bedford, VA and finally back to Florida where he transferred his membership to Palatka, FL Lodge 184.
He came to Moosehaven on January 7, 1992 where he resided for almost 16 years.
He is survived by his children, sons; Paul, John, Albert, Nicholas, Patrick and daughter, Sue.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Moosehaven Chapel on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. with Father Joe Frazer and Officers of Opportunity Lodge officiating.
