Estle L. Thacker

Estle L. Thacker, 78, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012. Estle was born on July 4, 1934 in Grundy, VA to parents Hibbert and Amy Looney Thacker. Mr. Thacker was a foreman for the State of Florida. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and talking with his family and friends. Mr. Thacker was of the Baptist faith and attended Little Ruth Old Regular Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ruby M. Thacker, brother, Elmer Thacker and sister, Faye Burke. He is survived by his brothers, Ralph Thacker (Betty), Ronald Thacker; sisters, Sadie McDade, Lucy Ashley (Jerry) and grandchildren, Lori and Rhonda. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, August 17, 2012 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Little Ruth Old Regular Baptist Church with Elder Terry Fuller, Elder Doug McCarthy and Elder Richard Lowe officiating.
