Ruby Lee Spradley Yirka

Ruby Lee Spradley Yirka, 85, our loving Mother who devoted her life to her family, her children and to her Lord Jesus Christ went to be with Him on Wednesday, August 15, 2012. She was born on August 1, 1927 in Lake City, FL to parents Clayton and Florence Spradley. Mrs.Yirka was a homemaker and a member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church. She enjoyed music and singing and will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bernard E. Yirka, Sr. and is survived by her children, Ed Yirka (DiAnn), Sharon Yirka Miller (Michael), Alan Paxton Yirka and Kathy Yirka Wade (Jackie); grandchildren, Scott Yirka, DeJa Yirka Nye, Michael Miller, Jr., Angela Miller Boyd, Treye Wade and Jacee Clayton and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 17, 2012 at Hibernia Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Yirka officiating. Visitation will be in the church one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Stephen Nye, Michael Miller, Sr., Michael Miller, Jr., Treye Wade, Jackie Wade and Richard Boyd. Interment will take place at Scott Cemetery, Lake City, FL at 3:00 pm Friday.
