Clarence Jacob Bush, 80, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Friday, October 26, 2007. Mr. Bush was born to parents Jacob and Margaret Bush on July 24, 1927 in Edward Township, MN and was of the Lutheran faith. After graduating high school, he joined The United States Navy and served his country honorably during World War II. He moved to the Green Cove Springs community in the 1950’s from Minnesota and worked as a carpenter for Ed Gustafson for more than thirty years. Mr. Bush attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a former member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Margaret; and by his first wife, Mary Ann Bush in 1977. He is survived by his wife of twenty seven years, Susan Bush; eight children: Leeon (George) Tucker of Clyde, NC, Jock (Karen) Bush of Green Cove Springs; Sheila (Curtis) Caruthers of Jacksonville Beach, Joel (Shannon) Bush of Green Cove Springs, Chris Stumler of Providence, RI, Kim (Ray) Lapointe of Middleburg, Karen Stumler of Green Cove Springs, and Karla (Richard) Ferry of Macclenny, FL; one brother, Willard Bush of Tucson, AZ; three sisters: Marlys (Dennis) Crane of Corona, CA, Lois (Steve) Jagow of Correll, MN, and Myra (Cliff) Albertson of Saulk Rapids, MN; and twenty nine grand and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 1, 2007 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Father Donal Sullivan officiating.
