Joe Michael Davis, Sr.

Joe Michael Davis, Sr., of Orange Park, FL passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012. He was born on January 31, 1949 in Wardell, Missouri to parents Donald and Jewell (Hasty) Davis. Joe moved to the local area in 1987. He was known to be a “salesman” by nature. Joe’s true passion was his family and grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoyed being on his computer; playing games, surfing the internet and keeping in contact with friends and family, thru Facebook. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. Mr. Davis is preceded in death by both of his parents and daughter; Kimberly Williams (2004). He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Billie Jean Davis; son, Joe M. Davis, Jr. (Angela); daughters, Thelisa Miller (Charles), LaDonna Allen and Dawnell Smith; brother, Robert Smith; sister, Leota Rice; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, August 31, 2012 from 12 pm until 1 pm in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Funeral services to follow at 1 pm with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
