Alvin Lee Kyle, Jr., 63, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Thursday, November 1, 2007. Mr. Kyle was born on June 10, 1944 to parents Alvin and Mary Kyle in Jacksonville and was a lifelong resident of the area. Of the Baptist faith, he retired from The United States Navy as a Senior Chief Petty Officer and was a Vietnam veteran. Mr. Kyle was a Master Mason in Woodstock Park Lodge 313; and a member of Disabled American Veterans, Jacksonville Chapter; Veteran’s of Foreign Wars, Post 7909; and Sons of Confederate Veterans, Capt. Winston Stephens Camp #2041. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Kyle; one son, Alvin Kyle, III (Jai); one daughter, Starla McCarty (Milt); two sisters, Alice Lynne “Palm Tree” Wheeler (Richard Paul) and Ann Sisson (Rodney); four grandchildren, Ian McCarty, and Thomas, Jesika, and Charlie Kyle; niece, Crystal Sisson, and nephew, Timothy Lee Wheeler. The family will receive friends at River City Family Church, 6800 West 5th Street, Jacksonville, FL on Friday, November 9, 2007 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Graveside services with Military Honors, Masonic Rites, and an SCV salute will be held at Riverside Memorial Park, (South Section), on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 11:00 am with Dr. James Gipson officiating.
