Thomas Ellis Gould, 70, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2007. He was born in Seattle, WA, on March 11, 1937 and has resided in Baker County since 1972. He served in the United States Navy for 21 years before retiring and beginning a new career as a State Correctional Officer at the Reception and Medical Center (RMC) in Lake Butler, again retiring after 20 years of service. Mr. Gould was a member of First Baptist Church of Macclenny. He is predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Martha Gould. Family members include his children: Kathy Gould of Kiev, Ukraine, Margie Griffis of Folkston, GA, Billy (Bobbie) Gould of Green Cove Springs, FL; brothers: Gene (Pat) Gould of McKeesport, PA, Dell (Patti) O'Connell of Avondale, AZ, and Dave (Betty) O'Connell of Helena, MT; sister Helen Neff of Pottsville, Australia; four grand- children, and 1 great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held in the Ferreira Chapel on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at 11:00 am with Pastor Edsel Bone officiating. Internment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, November 19, 2007 from 6-8 pm in the Ferreira Chapel.
