John Gillis, Jr.

John Gillis, Jr., 68, of Middleburg, FL, passed away November 18, 2007. He was born on June 11, 1939 in New Bedford, MA to parents, John and Mae Gillis, Sr. He was a Chief Petty Officer, retired from the United States Navy after 21 years of service, having served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He loved to yacht and will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include his daughter, Stacy Gillis and his son, Cavin Pafford, both of Ray City, GA and his granddaughter, Abigail Gillis. Following cremation, the family will take the ashes home for a family memorial service and then they will be sent to the United States Navy for Burial at Sea.
