Paul J. Rodgers, 83, of Palatka, FL passed away October 27, 2012 at the Custead Center for Caring in Orange Park, FL. He was born on July 17, 1929 in Haworth, OK to parents Fletcher William and Iva Roberts Rodgers. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #115 and the American Legion, both in Palatka and The VFW in Green Cove Springs and Fleet Reserve on Collins Road. Mr. Rodgers was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife, Evelyn L. Rodgers; children, Paul James Rodgers Jr. (Janet), Michael D. Rodgers (Donna), Donna Rodgers Grohman (Randy), Emmett Rodgers (Dale), Fletcher W. Rodgers, David A. Rodgers (Karen), Martha Ann Turner (Gerald) and T. Mark Rodgers; step-children, Jerry Clouse (Rohda), Gary Clouse (Diane) and Nancy Frazer (Rick); brother, G.W. Rodgers (Barbara); nineteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2012 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Full Military Honors will be conferred.
