James Edward Crosby

James Edward Crosby, 76, passed away Thursday January 3, 2008 in Middleburg, FL. He was born in Lulaton, GA and he resided in Clay County for 41 yrs. Mr. Crosby was a Korean War veteran, having honorably served his country in The United States Army. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Middleburg and he retired from O’Neill Steel after 20 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Winifred I. Crosby; one son, James R. Crosby; four daughters: Peggy L. Crosby, Cathy S. Kight (Roy), Nancy Baker, and Jill Crosby; six grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home on Sunday, January 6, 2008 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 7, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Broadus-Raines Chapel officiated by Pastor Johnny Thomas. Interment with military honors will follow in Peoria Cemetery.
