CAPPS, CHARLES PARKER - Dec. 8, 1943, Nov. 1, 2012 He was predeceased by his parents, Parker and Helen Walsh Capps and sister Barbara Jan Capps. He is survived by his beloved wife, JoAnn, daughter Laurie Capps Vidovich (Tommy), sister Nancy Capps Hoover (Jim), and granddaughters, Ashley and Brooke Vidovich, nephew Ryan Hoover.
"Papa" was much loved by his stepchildren and grandchildren, Samantha, Travis, Haley, Johnny, Michelle, Cameron, Laura, Austin, Garrett, Elliot and Debbie.
Parker graduated from The Bolles School and the University of South Florida. He was Vice President of the CI Capps, Co. until it was sold. ( A company his
grandfather founded in 1915.) It was here he learned the operation of the foundry and fabrication from the ground up.
How do you sum up a person beyond the facts of their birth and death and
in-between? Parker was one of the few people who could truly be called
"selfless", a rare attribute. He was warm, kind, loving, and sweet, a true
Christian gentleman. He genuinely loved people and saw good in all mankind.
He loved the Lord with all of his heart, mind, and soul. He loved the beach and the river, boats and cars, fishing and football. To stand with Parker at
water's edge was to watch and hear him revel in his surroundings. He was, in
short, a wonderful man who will sorely be missed by all who knew him. God
speed, Parker.
Graveside service will be held at Mandarin Cemetery at 1:00 PM November 7, 2012.
