Georgia Louise Ledbetter

Georgia Louise Ledbetter, 82, of Orange Park, FL passed away peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family on Saturday, January 5, 2008. Mrs. Ledbetter was born to parents Harold and Ella Wolfe on September 5, 1925 in St. Augustine, FL and was of the Episcopalian faith. She grew up in Live Oak, FL and graduated Suwannee High School in 1943 and married her beloved husband, Lee Ledbetter in 1946. She moved to the Orange Park area in 1965 and was a member, and past president, of The Garden Club of Orange Park. She was a gourmet cook and also enjoyed needlepoint and knitting afghans. Mrs. Ledbetter was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her husband of sixty one years, Lee R. Ledbetter; one son, Lee Roy “Skip” Ledbetter, II (Joanne) of Phoenixville, PA; three daughters: Holly Leá (Joe) Solsona of Green Cove Springs, Editha Lorena Lavandera (Jesus) of Vero Beach, FL, and Greta Lorraine Peterson (David) of Waxhaw, NC; and eight grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at Cross Road Lutheran Church in Fleming Island, FL on Friday, January 18, 2008 at 11:00 am officiated by Reverend James E. Graeser, Jr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 1536 Kingsley Ave, Suite 123, Orange Park, FL 32073 (800) ACS-2345 or to North East Florida Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32257 (904) 886-3883.
