Bonnie Spector Campbell

December 19, 1946 — November 8, 2012

Bonnie Spector Campbell, 65, died at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, FL on November 8, 2012, after a 3-year battle with ovarian cancer. This remarkable woman, the daughter of Seymour and Miriam Spector of Irondequoit, NY, left New York and married Jay Campbell in 1965. Their union produced 3 sons, Scott, John and Todd, 2 daughters in law, Beth (Scott) and Karen (Todd) and 3 wonderful grandchildren, Britney, Noah and Morgan. Equally important to her were her sister, Andrea, her brothers Barry and Bill and the patriarch of the family, Sy Spector, who lives in the Brighton, NY area. Most of Bonnie’s working life was spent as a Montessori teacher, first in Miami, FL and finally at A Child’s Place Montessori School in Jacksonville, FL. Her teaching career spanned 27 years. She loved to work in her garden at home in Green Cove Springs, FL and she enjoyed travelling with Jay. She was interred at Jacksonville National Cemetery on November 16, 2012 in a very moving ceremony. To all those who knew Bonnie, her family sends their love and best wishes. FOR BONNIE THIS WOMAN I LOVE BEYOND ALL OTHER THINGS HAS LEFT US TO BE WITH THE LORD. THIS WOMAN I LOVE BEYOND ALL OTHER THINGS HAS GONE TO HER FINAL REWARD. THIS WOMAN WAS LOVED BY THE SONS THAT SHE BORE AND THEIR WIVES AND GRAND CHILDREN AGREE THAT THE PEOPLE SHE TOUCHED IN HER SIXTY-FIVE YEARS WILL REMEMBER HER ETERNALLY. IF EVER YOU WONDER WHAT TRUE LOVE IS LIKE AND ARE NOT SURE JUST HOW IT WILL BE JUST REMEMBER THE LIFE OF THIS WOMAN, MY WIFE AND YOU’LL SEE JUST HOW GREAT LOVE CAN BE. Jay H.
