Thomas A. "Tom" Damon

Thomas A. “Tom” Damon, 65, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away November 17, 2012. He was born on October 25, 1947 in New Albany, IN to parents William Thomas Damon and Mary Octavia Thomas. He served in the US Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He had retired from American Commercial Barge Line as a River Boat Captain, had lived in Jacksonville since 1980, and was a member of Westside Baptist Church. Tom is survived by his daughter, Beth (Brian Doe) Damon of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Bill (Polly) Damon of Jacksonville, FL and a grandson, Riley Burch of Jacksonville, FL. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
