Martha B. Cherry passed away Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 4:45 P.M. in Moosehaven Life Care Center.
She was born to Roy & Violet (Jones) Barnes, Sr. on May 13, 1932 in Fairfield, Alabama and lived to the age of 75.
She married William Cherry on January 7, 1956 in Fairfield, Alabama. They were blessed with 52 years together and three children, daughters, Sherry Robinson and Mary Cherry both of Jacksonville and William Paul Cherry of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Martha became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose when she and Bill joined Jacksonville, Florida Lodge #455 and Chapter #305 in 1974.
Martha worked as a Data Entry Ward Clerk for Lloyd Noland Hospital in Fairfield, Alabama for about 10 years and 13 years as a Data Entry Clerk for Memorial, Brooks and Genesis Rehabs in Jacksonville.
Martha attended Arlington Baptist Church and enjoyed her days as a Sunday School Teacher.
Martha came to Moosehaven with her husband Bill on September 13, 2005 where she resided for almost 2 1/2 years.
Martha is survived by her husband, William Cherry, also a Moosehaven resident, three children, Sherry Robinson, Mary Cherry and William Cherry, Jr. Also 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson and a host of other friends and relatives.
A “Celebration of Life” held for Martha on Friday 1/25/08 @ 2:00 P.M. in the Moosehaven Chapel and will be conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor, Moosehaven Chaplain and Rev. Fred Norman, Arlington Baptist Church followed by a fellowship in the Moosehaven Michigan Building sponsored by her WOTM Jacksonville Chapter # 305.

Service followed by cremation with ashes spread at Moosehaven.
