Lillian “Tigger” Megonegal, 78, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2008 after a long and hard battle. Mrs. Megonegal was born on May 31, 1929 in Chester, PA to parents, Andrew and Helen Nass. She was a former executive administrative assistant and was very active in her community. Tigger was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Green Cove Springs and a past president and secretary of the VIA in Green Cove Springs; past secretary for the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary; past secretary of the Clay County Republican Executive Committee for 14 years; past secretary of the J.P. Hall Charities; a Rotary Foundation Paul Harris Fellow as well as an accomplished artist and avid reader. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include her loving husband of 31 years, E. Russell Megonegal; children, Nina Wunderlich (Tony), Eric Sather, Richard and Wayne Megonegal; brother, Larry Schuelie (Natalie); sisters, Helen Hellings and Marlene Marshall; and grandchildren, Emily Reardon, Krista and Rachel Sather and Cynthia Arnao. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church of Green Cove Springs with Reverend W. Hunter Camp, II officiating.
