Gene E. Houldson

Gene E. Houldson, 62, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away December 15, 2012. He was born July 27, 1950 in Oakland, CA to parents Clarence and Elinor (Downey) Houldson. He had been a resident of Green Cove Springs since 1992 and retired from Tamko Roofing in Green Cove Springs. He was a Christian and had attended Living Waters and Calvary Church. Gene was predeceased by his father; a brother, Jerry, and his sisters, Barbara Shere, Cathy and Cindy Houldson. Survivors include his wife, Vickie Doan Houldson; sons, Zachariah Art (Centa) Houldson of Middleburg, FL, Michael French, William Travis (Katie) Ivey and John Stuart (April) Ivey all of Green Cove Springs; daughters, Jennifer L. (Eliseo) Barriga of Fremont, CA and Catherine S. Dahlstrom of Modesto, CA; brother, Merritt E. (Kristi) Houldson, Salem, OR; sisters, Beverly E. (George) Glover of Eugene, OR and Christine E. (Dan) O’Leary of Spokane, WA; grandchildren, Gunner, Cheyenne and Payton Ivey, Reaghan and Conan Houldson, Alexa Barriga, Kayla White, Jacob and Jared Lucio and 2 great-grandchildren, Kayden and Liam Lucio. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Penney Farms Cemetery. Reverend Louis Doan will officiate.
