Charles "Charlie" Henry Knight

Charles “Charlie” Henry Knight, 78, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away January 2, 2013. He was born on October 28, 1934 in Danville, VA to parents Charlie and Ann Knight. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving his country in the United States Navy and had worked in quality control at the Metal Container Corp. Mr. Knight had been a Boy Scout leader for Troop #302 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jacksonville and loved his animals. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife, Shirley B. Knight and by his son, Adrian Lee Knight. Survivors include his son, Chuck Knight (Mary); daughter, Dorenda Dyal (Bobby); 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, January 7, 2013 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Chaplain David Young officiating. Interment will be private.
