James D. Epperley, 67, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2008. He was born in Ethel, WV to James and Doris Epperly on January 8, 1941. James honorably served his country in The United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran. Later, he worked as a truck driver. He moved to Florida in 1992 and to Green Cove Springs six years ago, from Sebring. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and loved bluegrass music, playing the banjo, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of The National Rifle Association and The North Florida Bluegrass Association. James was preceded in death by his beloved wife of forty years, Linda Epperley; his parents; and by one sister, Helen. He is survived by three sons: James Allen Epperly of Truxton, NY, Michael (Teresa) and Mark Epperley (Holly Green) of Green Cove Springs; one sister, Joella Rosenblum of TX; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Friday, February 8, 2008 from 10:00 until 11:00 am. Memorial services will commence at 11:00 am officiated by Reverend Mike Madaris.
