Kathleen S. Slipp

Kathleen S. Slipp, 97, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013. She was born on May 23, 1915 in Blaine, ME to parents Thomas and Jesse Phair. Mrs. Slipp had worked as an accountant. She was a former member of the Mars Hill Full Gospel Assembly in Mars Hill, ME. Mrs. Slipp moved to Fleming Island in 2011 from St. Petersburg, FL where she was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. She was very active in her church and was on the Prayer Team. In her free time she loved to fish and she will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Paul J. Slipp and by her son, Wallace H. Shaw. Survivors include her son, Wendell A. Shaw of Fleming Island, FL; sister, Doreen Trombley of CA; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, January 14, 2013 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home.
