LCDR (Retired) Jerrold “Jerry” Bradley Wilson, age 80, of Fleming
Island Florida went home to be with the Lord on January 14, 2013.
Jerry was born in Richfield Utah on June 14, 1932. Graduated High
School in San Mateo California. Married Dorothy Eileen Beaman on
October 14, 1950. Joined the United States Navy and specialized in
Aviation Electronics. While in the Navy he was at Duty Stations such
as: Alameda, California
Moffitt Field, California
Honolulu, Hawaii
Guam
Point Magu, California
Millington, Tennessee
Jacksonville, Florida
He successfully climbed the ranks from Seaman to Master Chief Petty
Officer and received his Officer’s Commission in 1970 and retired from
the Navy in 1980 after 30 years at the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Jerry and family settled in the Orange Park Florida in 1967. He truly
loved his family and provided many hours of entertainment for the
children, grand children and great grandchildren with various hobbies
from building black/white TV (before Technicolor), doll houses, toys,
gadgets (be careful touching things as they may shock you) loved being
part of the magic club and the conventions to learn new “slight of
hand” to entertain wherever he went. Spent many hours as co-pilot of
boat while grandsons drove and skied, in return he let them “ride the
mower” to cut grass.
He was preceded in death by his sons John Bradley Wilson and Clifford
Douglas Wilson
He is survived by Dorothy Wilson, his wife of 62 years, brother David
Wilson and wife Kathy, daughter Sheryl Brundage and husband Joe, son
Duane Wilson and wife Stephanie, daughter (in law) Kathy Wilson,
grandchildren John and Matthew Wilson, John and Rachel Brundage,
Nicholas and Lauren Wilson, Desiree and Megan Emme, great grandchildren
Jared, Trey and Haley Wilson.
Jerry was a member of Island View Baptist Church

A memorial service will be held at Island View to celebrate his life
Saturday, January 19th, 2013 @ 2:00 pm
In lieu of flowers donations could be made to Community Hospice of NE
Florida or Island View Baptist Church – Building Fund.
He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
