Carmen Bonilla, 83, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2008 in Orange Park, FL. Carmen was born the second of six children to Jesus and Petra Torres on March 2, 1924 in Cidra, Puerto Rico and moved to Orange Park seven years ago from New York. She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed her work in nursing and babysitting. Mrs. Bonilla loved to cook and she was excellent at it. She also loved to travel and enjoyed antique restoration, but above all she loved spending time with her family. Carmen was preceded in death eleven years ago by her beloved husband of forty two years, Ismael Bonilla. She is survived by two children: Izzy Bonilla (Alessandra) and Mercy Bonilla; five brothers and sisters: Tino Torres (Belito), Nicoles Torres (Aida), Guillermo Torres (Antonia), Jose Manuel Torres, and Maritza Tolentino (Mario); and three grandchildren: Ariana, Shannon, and Alicia.
