Frances Courtoy Saunders

Frances Courtoy Saunders, 80, of Penney Farms, FL, passed away January 30, 2013. She was born in to parents, Lee Courtoy and Ola Freeman on February 15, 1932 in Moultrie, GA, and was a Southern Baptist by faith. Frances met the love of her life, Ernest E. Saunders and got married on June 15th, 1955. She resided in Tallahassee, FL, before moving to the local area in 1970. Frances enjoyed outdoors, flowers, gardening, and loved her family, friends, and making people laugh. She was loved by many nieces, nephews, and countless friends for her open heart and quick wit. Frances was an adoring “Mema” to Joshua Lee Braddock and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is preceeded in death by her parents, Lee and Ola Courtoy; brothers, Curtis Courtoy and George Courtoy and she is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Ernest E. Saunders; daughter, Ginger S. West (Scott) and grandchild, Joshua Lee Braddock; Memorial services will be held Saturday February 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Pastor Marc Swarthout officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
