December 18, 1922 — February 19, 2008

Marjorie O. Archer, 85, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 19, 2008. She is survived by four children, David Thomas (Lora), Nancy Simmons (Dan), Marilyn Crousey (Richard), Danny Thomas (Janice); 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Ralph W. Orr and Thomas V. Orr. She was preceded in death by husbands, Orval B. Archer (1997) and Dale F. Nicely (1980) as well as her sister, Florence Jones. She was born December 18, 1922 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of Ralph V. and Florence Ward Orr. Marj resided in Cincinnati, OH and Pittsburgh, PA before moving to Melbourne, FL in 1971 where she lived for 35 years. In October 2006 she became a resident of Moosehaven in Orange Park, FL. Employment included bookkeeping at numerous companies in Pittsburgh. She worked at the Health Hut in Melbourne for over 15 years before retiring. Throughout her life, actively served as a member of the Woman of the Moose, Eastern Star and Disabled American Veterans (DAV). While residing in Melbourne, she was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Palm Bay, FL where she served as treasurer and member of the finance committee. She enjoyed several hobbies, including crocheting, knitting and ceramics. Memorial services will be held in the Moosehaven Chapel, Orange Park, FL at 2:00 pm on March 18, 2008.
