Crystal Yvonne Wright-Whitcomb

Crystal Yvonne Wright-Whitcomb, 48, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 7, 2013. She was born on September 3, 1964 in Perry, FL. She has been a resident of Clay County for the past 18 years. Crystal was of the Baptist faith and attended Faith Baptist Church. She enjoyed being outdoors in the sun and planting flowers and plants around her home. Crystal will always be remembered as a good hearted, loving person who was always thinking of others. She was always giving to her family and friends in all kinds of ways but especially her love. Crystal was a loving caring mother who had a heart of gold. She enjoyed her job as a waitress at Ronnie’s Wings in Green Cove Springs. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Sheppard and her brother-in-law, Freddie Walker. Crystal will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends. She is survived by her mother, Linda Sheppard; Scott A. Whitcomb; Mark Miller; sons, Christopher Whitcomb (Karen Johnson), Joshua Lee and James Ellis; daughters, Alaura (Gabriel) Lockett, Shannon Whitcomb, Angel Nelson and Rachel Miller; sisters, Catina Buckhalter and Candy (David) Smith; grandchildren, Kayli Ellis, Logan Whitcomb, Jordan Nelson, Trinity and Alexis Jones, Brysin Nelson, Paige Hamilton and one on the way; nephews, Christopher Wright, Brandon Buckhalter, Caleb Walker; niece, Katie Smith and special friends Lottie Jordon and Alicia Hinkle. The family will receive friends in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Friday, February 8, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in her honor at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 9, 2013 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Reverend Louie Doan officiating.
