Herman “Tex” S. Flowers, 84, of Milton, FL, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008. He was born on January 1, 1924 in St. Joe, TX to parents, Charlie and Finis Flowers. Tex retired from the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman First Class and was a World War II and Korean War Veteran. He was very active in the VFW, the Fleet Reserve and the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge, devoting his time and service. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Flowers; daughters, Linda Thompson (Allen) of Jacksonville, FL, Sandra K. Bruton of Milton, FL and Sharon Mathis (John) of Middleburg, FL; sister, Nora Sullivan (Alvis) of Wichita Falls, TX; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
