Thomas Mattox

Thomas Mattox, 42, of Satsuma, FL, passed away Friday, March 7, 2008. He was born on October 1, 1965 in Boynton Beach, FL to parents, Thomas and Linda Mattox. Mr. Mattox served his country in the United States Army and was a welder. He was raised in Green Cove Springs and had a great love for the Lord. He enjoyed singing and his jail ministry. Mr. Mattox will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Mattox and a son, Joshua Mattox. Survivors include his wife, Vanona Mattox; mother, Linda Layfield (Bill); sons, Devin Mattox, Jeremiah Mattox and Brandon Wellington; daughter, Ashley Fredrick; sisters, Vickie Lee Grady (Matthew), Stephanie Lester and Heather Dickerson (Mike) and brothers, Billy Layfield (Vickie) and Travis Layfield. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Russell Baptist Church with Reverend Ronnie Surrency officiating.
