Shirley J. Raines

Shirley J. Raines, 73, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013. She was born on April 30, 1939 in Green Cove Springs, FL to parents Marion and Ethel Wilkerson Knowles. Mrs. Raines had worked as a Key Punch Operator for Gustafson’s Dairy for over 20 years. She loved to shop, play Word Search, going to the beach as well as tending to her rose garden. Mrs. Raines will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Lloyd Raines. She is survived by her children, Brenda Raines Kinnear (Lee), Lloyd Raines, Jr. and Roger Raines (Melinda); brothers, Ronald Knowles (Sue) and Don Knowles; sister, Mickie Amos (Clarence); grandchildren, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Racheal and Christina and great-grandchildren, Riley and Javier. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services and interment will be family only.
