Arthur E. Murphy

Arthur E. Murphy, 64, of Fleming Island, FL passed away April 3, 2013.He was born on November 15, 1948 in Providence, RI to parents Arthur E. Murphy Sr. and Esther Y. Caldarone. Mr. Murphy was a graduate of Florida Institute of Technology where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Science. He had 30 years of experience in the heavy building material industry including ready mix, concrete block plants, paver plants, cement mills, and surface mining. His professional affiliations include the American Society of Safety Engineers, University of North Florida Adjunct Faculty, Occupational Health & Safety Technologist, Certified Mine Safety Professional, Florida Concrete & Products Association Safety Committee Member, National Ready Mix Concrete Committee. He was predeceased by his father and is survived by wife, Karen Murphy; son, Andrew Murphy; daughter, Amanda Murphy; mother, Esther Murphy; brother, Paul (Elisa) Murphy; mother-in-law, Marlene Casleton; sisters-in-law, Lisa (Joe) Love and Dawn Cannon; brother-in-law, Chris (Cathy) Casleton; 7 nephews and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in the Historic Old Church of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mandarin. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
