Gordon E. Maxwell

Gordon E. Maxwell, 82, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013. He was born on April 5, 1931 in Green Cove Springs, FL to parents Alfred and Bertha Maxwell. Mr. Maxwell had worked as a Lifeguard for the City of Green Cove Springs and was of the Baptist faith. In his free time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brothers, James, Homer, Henry, Robert, Charles and Dick Maxwell and by sisters, Daisy, Ethel, Evelyn and Elaine. Survivors include his brother, Julian Maxwell (Inez) of Green Cove Springs and his sister, Polly M. Krause of Green Cove Springs. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, April 11, 2013 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Chaplain Sharon Eddins officiating.
