Patsy Houston

Patsy Houston, 79, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Sunday, March 23, 2008. Mrs. Houston was born on July 30, 1928 to parents Ernest and Winnie Thornton in Fort Worth, TX and was of the Christian faith. She moved to Green Cove Springs thirty five years ago from Georgia and loved her neighbors and enjoyed helping out around her neighborhood and volunteer work with the Clay County Council on Aging. Mrs. Houston was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty three years, William “Bill” Harrison Houston; and by her parents and her brother, Joe Lewis Thornton. She is survived by four children: William Ernest “Ike” Thornton (Dorcus), Cissy Yoes (Jack), Joe Ed Thornton (Laura), and Orin Lee Houston (Linda); and seven grandchildren. Interment will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Ashburn, GA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Clay County Council on Aging, (904) 284-5977, are appreciated.
