Karen Knowles Myers

Karen Knowles Myers, 46, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008. She was born on April 22, 1961 to parents, Harold and Jewel Knowles in Jacksonville, FL, and was a life long resident of Clay County. She was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church where she was a children’s church teacher. Mrs. Myers was an accounting coordinator for the St. Johns Water Management District and worked the lemonade stand in the “Early Florida” area of the Clay County Agricultural Fair. She was a member of the 4-H Club and a member of the Florida Government Finance Officers Association. Survivors include her husband, Keith Myers; her parents; one son, Joel Myers; one daughter, Kelli Myers; one brother, “Rooster” Knowles; one sister, Susan Knowles Welch; mother and father-in-law, Damon and Linda Myers; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Wednesday March 26, 2008 from 4:00 until 5:00 pm. Memorial Services will begin at 5:00 pm officiated by Reverend Bobby Register.
