Carl “Fred” Taylor, 78, of Orange Park, FL, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008. He was born on October 6, 1929 in Jacksonville, FL to parents, Martin and Alma Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a retired Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, serving his country for 35 years as well a being a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had been a lifelong resident of the area and enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating and many outdoor activities. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife, whom he married in 1957, Barbara Taylor; son, Steve Taylor (Suzi) of Middleburg, FL; daughter, Kathy Sullivan (Jeff) of Orange Park, FL; grandchildren, Jarrod Sullivan, Kaitlyn Sullivan, Ryan Taylor and Kevin Taylor and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Ridgewood Baptist Church with Dr. Hal Fletcher, Jr. officiating and eulogy by Rev. Dick McEwen. Full military honors will be given at the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Ridgewood Baptist Church Building Fund, 939 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL 32065.
