Eugene Bausman Smith

Eugene Bausman Smith, 93, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 in Brooksville, FL. Born on February 27, 1920 in Austintown, OH he had been a resident of Jacksonville for 35 years. Mr. Smith honorably served his country in The United States Army and was a WWII Veteran. Eugene was a true humanitarian who cared for people. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Morocco Temple in Jacksonville and a member of the Flying Fez. Mr. Smith is survived by his son, Eric Smith; 4 grandchildren, Jeff, Kevin, Traci and Scott Thompson and 5 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating.
