Frederick "Fred" Rifenbark

Frederick “Fred” Rifenbark, 82, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away May 16, 2013. He was born on April 12, 1931 in Jefferson, NY to parents Isaac and Dorothy O’Dell Rifenbark. Mr. Rifenbark retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service and was a veteran of the Vietnam and Korean War. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed woodworking as well as spending time with his family and precious grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Rifenbark; children, Wolfgang Pitzmann (Wanda) of Feldkerchen, Austria, Rick Rivers (Chanda) of Green Cove Springs, FL, Michelle Mikell (Jamee) of Jacksonville, FL and Charlotte Miley; brothers, Joe Rifenbark (Pat) of Green Cove Springs, FL and Gerald Rifenbark (Pat) of Oneonta, NY; sister, Barbara Thorne of Oneonta, NY and grandchildren, Kathryn Pitzmann, Sam Mikell, Kierstin, Caden and Kaylin Rivers and Brian Miley. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Russell Franklin officiating. Visitation will be in the church from 10:00 am until service time. Full military honors will be conferred at the service.
