Mrs. Ayleen M. Shenk

Mrs. Ayleen M. Shenk, 101, of Orange Park, FL, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2008. She was born on September 20, 1906 in Rossville, KS to parents, Ernest and Mary Hartzell. She was a graduate of Kansas State College and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi. She was a former teacher and homemaker and was of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Shenk and is survived by her son, Sheldon W. Shenk (Sheryl) of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Carolyn S. Hubbard (Charles W., Jr.) of Orange Park, FL; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 4 ½ great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Final services and interment will be under the direction of Funeral Choices of Chantilly, Chantilly, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257.
