Lowell Moody, Sr.

Lowell Moody, Sr., 74, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away June 17, 2013. He was born on March 16, 1939 in Kissimmee, FL to parents Henry and Doris Thomas Moody. Mr. Moody served his country in the United States Army and had worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, gardening and being an outdoorsman. Mr. Moody will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife, Marian and by his siblings, Farnest Moody, Carolyn Revels, Linda Smith and Dwight Moody. Survivors include his son, Lowell Moody, Jr.; sister, Bart Christian; former wife, Joyce Moody; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, June 21, 2013 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 22, 2013 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Joe Barrie officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
