Richard Mason

Richard “Dick” Mason, 73, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008. Mr. Mason was born the third of four boys to parents Frank and Lillian Mason on October 31, 1934 in Hull, MA and was of the Baptist faith. Dick moved to Green Cove Springs in October 2007 from Arkansas, but always considered Boston to be his home. He honorably served his nation in The United States Army Air Force during the Korean War and later began a career as an automobile mechanic. Dick was a member of Veteran’s of Foreign Wars, Post 1988 and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed waterslides and was a fun loving person that will be dearly missed. Mr. Mason is survived by his beloved wife of forty-seven years, Marjorie Mason; six children: Mary Schirmer (Earl), Lillian Callahan (Dan), Richard Mason, Jr., Joyce Gavelis (Eddie), Doreen Brink, and Michael Mason (Vicki); two brothers: Lou Mason (Shirley) and Frank Mason (Pamela); fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
