Margie Dean Hammond Estes

Margie Dean Hammond Estes, 86, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013. She was born June 2, 1927 in Nashville, TN to parents Walter Emmanuel and Bessie Overa Crafton Hammond. Mrs. Estes has been a resident of Green Cove Springs for the past 21 years and attended Hickory Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed time spent with her family and going on trips. She loved the beach and picking up shells, also she enjoyed her flower garden. Mrs. Estes was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Emory “Roy” Estes and is survived by her children, Linda Green and her husband Steve, Billy Estes and his wife Barbara, Mike Estes and his wife Michele, James Estes and his wife Sabrina, Susie Tillery and her husband Richard and Walter Estes and his wife Robin; grandchildren, Michelle, Steve II, Melissa, Melanie, Angela Jean, Jason, Christina, Ashley, Bryan, Madison, Lauren, Jessica, James, Tyler, Elysia, Patricia, Tabitha and 30 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 10, 2013 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Russell Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pompano Beach, FL on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Please sign the family’s online register book at www.broadusraines.com.
