John J. "Johnny" Salazar

John J. “Johnny” Salazar, 76, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away July 16, 2013. He was born on November 14, 1936 in San Ysidro, CA to parents, Albert and Elizabeth Salazar. Mr. Salazar had served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He had lived in Green Cove Springs for 32 years, was a member of the American Legion, Post 250, in Middleburg, FL and a parishioner of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Orange Park, FL. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia, in 2009 and is survived by his son, John (Diane) Salazar; grandsons, Tony and Jeremy Salazar; brother, Bobby Salazar; sister, Marian (Lelo) Diaz; sisters-in-law, Pam (Jeff) Glisson and Carmen Hamlin; brothers-in-law, Randy (Robin) Pulliam and Mike (Erna) Pulliam; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2013 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Father Jose Maniyangat officiating. Burial with Military honors conferred will be held at 2:00 p.m. that afternoon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to either Haven Hospice or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
