Herbert E. Stafford

Herbert E. Stafford, 75, of St. Johns, FL passed away July 24, 2013. He was born on February 21, 1938 in Rentz, GA to parents Lonnie and Ola Pearl Stafford. He had retired from the U.S. Navy and was a member of the U.S. Submarine Veterans. He was a member of the Morocco Shrine Temple, the Shriners Motorcycle Escorts and the Shriners Golf Association. He was also a member of the Cushman Club of America and the Southeastern Cushman Club. Survivors include his wife, Diane Stafford; daughter, Crystal (Thomas Kukar) Stafford; step- children, Thad (Stacy) Gilder and Elaine (Anthony) Salts; brothers, Lonell (Cathy) Stafford and Larry (Priscilla) Stafford; sister, Faye Gunn; grandchildren, Mirandie Gilder, Nick Gilder and Frank Salts. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Morocco Shrine Temple, Activity Center, 3800 St. Johns Bluff Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32224. The visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. Mr. Stafford will be buried at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2013 with full military honors conferred.
