Marie Bentley

Marie Bentley, 82, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008. Mrs. Bentley was born the oldest girl of seventeen children to parents Gus and Blanche Falana on June 28, 1925 in Clay County, FL. She was a member of Green Cove Springs Assembly of God and worked as a seamer for Burlington Mills. She was formerly a member of B.P.O.E. Does #1892 and enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. Mrs. Bentley was preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty eight years, Herbert Howard Bentley; her parents; and nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by three sons: Howard, Alvin, and Lee Bentley; two daughters: Lisa Bentley and Alma Kendall; three brothers: Harold, Freddie, and Millege Falana; and four sisters: Ruth Stratton, Mary Ann Kittrell, Annette Moody, and Stella Turner; four grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. The family will have private interment services in Switzerland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to Community Hospice of NE FL, Earl B.
