William “Bill” Kilroy, 62, of Middleburg, FL, passed away August 7, 2013. He was born on April 20, 1951 in Philadelphia, PA to parents William and Clare Crow Kilroy. Mr. Kilroy retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy, having honorably served his country in the Vietnam War and Desert Shield. He worked with the Helicopter Search and Rescue Units and in his free time enjoyed NASCAR and was a former member of the South Philly Mummers. Mr. Kilroy will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Gerry Kilroy; daughters, Kelly Garland (David), Karen Hamel (Shane) and Kristeen Young (Vernon); siblings, Clare Swett, Bob and Jack Kilroy and Teresa Wickersham and grandchildren, Austin, Ryan, Meghan, Brenden and Ashlen. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 14, 2013 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating.
