Nancy J. Bentley

Nancy J. Bentley, 63, was unexpectedly called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 11, 2013. A long-time resident of Green Cove Springs, arriving from Eldred, PA at the age of 19. Nancy is best known for her previous year’s employment at Milligan’s, Mayhughs Drugs and Cattail Creek Restaurant. Although cooking was her passion she also enjoyed family gatherings, time with friends, Bingo and her Facebook. She also loved her little dog, Daisy. Nancy’s kind heart and inability to meet a stranger left lasting impressions on all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. Nancy is survived by her husband of 43 years, Alvin Bentley; her live-in sister, Bonnie Schneider; 2 daughters, Kathy Sutton (Ray) and Shannon Moore (Shawn); 6 grandsons, Tim, Tyler, Matt, Zach, Dylan and Jake; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2013 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Rev. Eric Botley will officiate.
