D.G. Vereen, Sr.

D.G. Vereen, Sr., 68, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring in Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Vereen was born on July 25, 1939 in Laurinburg, NC and was of the Methodist faith. He worked for J.P. Stevens Company in Greensboro, NC and later retired from Bibb Manufacturing Company in Macon, GA. He moved to the Green Cove Springs area in 2005 from Venice, FL. Mr. Vereen in survived by his beloved wife of thirty five years, Emily C. Vereen; two sons: K. Kyle Vereen (Kim) and Donald Garrie Vereen, Jr. (Windy); one daughter, Pamela Miller; one brother, Kenneth Frazier (Patricia); one sister, Ian Paris; and five grandchildren.
