Joyce Marie Welch

Joyce Marie Welch, 79, of Orange Park, FL, passed away September 13, 2013. She was born on June 8, 1934 in Santa Rosa County, FL. Mrs. Welch had proudly worked as a school bus driver for the Clay County School System and in her free time enjoyed crocheting, playing Canasta and board games as well as doing puzzles. When Mrs. Welch passed away she was living in her home of 47 years with her daughter Melissa, son-in-law Billy and their 5 children Darian, Cameron, Janie, Hayden and Ashley. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. Earl Welch and her daughter, Sharon Thomas. Survivors include her children, Wanda Baxter, Kay Thompson (Gerald), Eileen Stanley, Edwin Welch (Marie) and Melissa Estes (Billy); sister, Betty Hawkins (Jackie); 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, September 16, 2013 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 17, 2013 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Gerald Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Peoria Cemetery.
