Merle Gordon Hamrick

Merle Gordon Hamrick, 66, of Keystone Heights, FL, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008. Mr. Hamrick was born to parents Asa and Roxy Hamrick on February 9, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland and was of the Baptist faith. He moved to Keystone Heights 10 years ago. Merle served his country in the United States Army and was a Vietnam War Veteran as well as a retired truck driver who drove for Teamsters 557. He enjoyed coin collecting, shrimping, racing, and motorcycles. Merle is preceded in death by both parents and a son Merle Gordon Hamrick Jr. Survivors include four sons: Gordon Hamrick, John Hamrick, Bruce Hamrick and Lance Hamrick; one daughter: Jeannie Kalkman; one sister: Sharon McCall; and 13 grandchildren.
