Aprilla Mae Downing

Aprilla Mae Downing, 80, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2008. Mrs. Downing was born the third of six children to parents Ai and Ethel Downing on April 1, 1928 in Oto, IA. She moved to Green Cove Springs in October 2007 after living in Palm Coast, FL for twelve years, coming from Anthon, IA. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Flagler Beach, FL and enjoyed arts and crafts and was an excellent seamstress. Mrs. Downing had been a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary No. 9124 in Oto, IA since 1979. She will be deeply missed by her beloved family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of twenty two years, Roy Downing; three children: Ronald Huth and two infant sons; her parents; her five brothers and sisters: Thelma Farber, Mark Downing, Paul Downing, Laura Schlumbum, and Alice Hurst. Survivors include five sons: Kenneth Huth and Pete Huth of Green Cove Springs, Roger Huth of Palm Coast, Vernon Huth of Green Cove Springs, and Keith Huth of Riverside, CA, and all of their families; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at First Baptist Church of Flagler Beach on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 11:00 am officiated by Reverend Roger Huth and Reverend Chet Thomas.
