Frank "Rossi' Marr

Frank “Rossi” Marr, passed away October 5, 2013 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 81. He was born to James and Ida Mae Marr on February 4, 1932 in Syracuse, New York. Rossi was employed by Emeritus Senior Living as a Chef and retired in 2009. He was a Life Member of the Cooking Club of America. Brother Rossi became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on December 11, 1980 when he joined the Bonita Springs, FL Lodge #1454. He was a life member of Manatee, FL Moose Legion #58. He received the Fellowship Degree of Honor on May 30, 1988 and the Pilgrim Degree of Merit on May 25, 2002. He became a Past Governor on May 1, 1995 and was a member of the Moose 25 Club, 50th division by sponsoring 57 members. Rossi came to Moosehaven on January 26, 2012 where he resided for almost two years. He enjoyed his time here and enjoyed sharing a good meal that he prepared with the therapy staff and others. He was a very independent man and didn’t allow his medical problems stop him from doing the things he could still do. For a time, he enjoyed the morning pool exercise class and he didn’t let his oxygen use stop him. He had a pole set up to hold the portable oxygen tank while he was in the pool. Memorial Service held Wednesday, October 16th at 3:00 p.m. in the Moosehaven Chapel conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor and Pilgrims of Opportunity Lodge. He is survived by his step-daughter, Mary Skinner of Naples, Florida and dear friend, Bonnie Kensinger of Bonita Springs, Florida.
