Mrs. Jo Cronon Sharpe

Mrs. Jo Cronon Sharpe, 84, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008. She was born on June 8, 1923 in Abbeville, GA to parents, Robert and Alice Weldon. Mrs. Sharpe had worked at H.J. Granger & Son Lumber Company for 35 years and was a member of Woodstock Park Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL. Mrs. Sharpe enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, who will dearly miss her. Survivors include her loving husband of 36 years, James R. Sharpe, Jr.; children, Sheri Kinnear (Jay) and Butch Cronon (Pat); step-children, James R. Sharpe, III (Joyce), Nancy Wickless (Buz); step-daughter, Corky French, who preceded her in death; sister-in-law, Martha Weldon; brother, Robert G. Weldon, who preceded her in death; sister, Alice Pace (Skip); 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, May 30, 2008 at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Reverend Mike Madaris officiating.
